I was in hospital about a month ago for the second time with multiple pulmonary embolism. They cant find out where they are coming from. I also have right sided heart failure as a result this time. THe problem that I have is that I feel strange. I feel as if I am floating through the world. I battle to concentrate and it affects my work. I forget easily, even just going from one page to the next on a Word document - I can't remember what it is that I wanted to do. Can a lack of oxygen result in me feeling like this?
How are you?
The most common cause of pulmonary embolism is venous thrombosis. It can be a result of venous stasis due to dehydration, immobility, and compression of vein by a tumor, surgical trauma, severe burns, indwelling catheters, obesity, and inflammatory bowel disease.
It is possible that your symptoms are due to lack of oxygen, but further evaluation is necessary. Please discuss this with your treating doctor and undergo a MRI or CT scan of the brain to rule out other causes. Keep us posted!
