White Matter Lesions after Head Trauma

Dear Doctors,

A year and a half ago I suffered a blow to my head and I have been suffering terribly ( to this day) from very intense Post-Concussion Syndrome symptoms. An MRI showed white matter lesions in my brain a few months after the accident, but I have read that such lesions could also be caused by certain illnesses. If have none of these illnesses, would it be safe to assume that the lesions in my brain were caused by the trauma to my head? I am a 43 year old female.

I thank you  in advance for your help.

Sincerely,

Julia Fernandez
