I had brain surgery a month ago. 10 days after the surgery I had the stiches removed. My incision started leaking spinal fluid. 2 days my neurosurgeon readmitted me into the hospital for 8 days- I had spinal tap or drain put in my back and spinal fluid was drained for 5 days never touching the golf ball size pocket of spinal fluid over my incison and my incision was stiched back up. The pocket of spinal fluid never went away. On the 8th day I was sent home. My doctor saw the huge pocket over the incision but sent me home anyway. My doctor told me during the surgery that the piece of bone that was cut out did not properly fit back and that this what was causing spinal fluid to leak. But he did not do anything about it and sent me home and said that my body would absorb it. Is this correct? I am really starting to doubt my doctor I have pressure in my head so bad, headaches and it is putting pressure on my right ear. Today my incision started leaking again, the pressure is so bad over the incision it looks like it is going to bust the stiches. Can you please help, any information would be greatly appreciated. Should I get a second opinion? Thanks, Julie
