After having been seizure free for many years, I recently had a very serious breakthrough seizure.I'm currently on a very large dose of Dilantin and I am also taking Lamictal. My goal is to stop Dilantin altogether and just rely on the Lamictal. What are the odds of having another siezure in the near future, especially as I transition from Dilantin to Lamictal?

I am not a doctor, so am unable to answer your question about your seizures.  However,  when you recently refilled a Rx for Dilantin, did the capsule look different?  Was it half orange and half white, instead of white with an orange band?  I have read on two other boards that some people are having a problem with this new dilantin, and are having seizures even when they have been seizure free for many years.
