Will my legs ever regain use?

In April 2009 I was diagnosed with pneumococyl meningitis. I also had pneumonia, sepsis and a sinus infection. After being in a coma for almost a month I awoke with paralized legs from my waist down, paralized bladder and bowels and my eyelids were even paralized. My sight was very bad and I saw at least 3 of everything. It has gotten somewhat better as now I only see double.Since the original onset my eyelids have come back to normal with a slight droopof the left eyelid. My bowels and bladder are somewhat better but still partially dead. I suffer with continous UTI's and have to self catherize 4 times a day.It has been a year and a half since this happened to me and I still cannot walk without the help of a walker and spend most of my day in a wheelchair.
My question ...is there any hope of my walking independently or is this it. I have had 4 months of physical therapy while I was in the hospital and nursing home and 10 months at home.
Until this happened I was a very healthy 63 year old Grandma enjoting life.
