Worried once more

I am so confused.  I have been told time and again that twitching related to ALS progresses quickly into other symptoms.  Now after reading posts on the Nueromuscular forum i am finding people who say that they have twitched for 4-10 years before any diagnosis of ALS was made.  They claim they had these fasics for years and were told they were benign.  But, i have been told otherwise.  that twitches are benign if they last that long without any other signs.  that ALS progresses into weakness and atrophy much sooner.  Now I am worried all over again that my fascics will lead to ALS.  I have had them for over three years now without any other symtpoms.  sone days I twitch more that others.  Some days I have very few, others I twitch like crazy.  they occur randomly and have hit all muscles at one time or another.  Please tell me, do i still have reason for concern after this l9ong?  Can twitches last for 4-10 years before ALS is diagnosed???  Please help a very worried person, AGAIN!
