Worsening muscle twitches

Worsening muscle twitches

I have twitches in both my legs continuously. It feels and looks like there are little aliens running around in them both. You can actually see my calves move constantly. These are not jerky movements. Last week, I got these twitches in my whole body. They went away except for my legs. This has been going on for the past six months increasingly. For the past couple of days, it is so severe sitting at my desk that I can actually feel my pants move. I don't consume caffeine (occassionally one soda) and I'm not on any anxiety medication. I am 59 years old and am starting to get concerned.
I do have allergies and am currently taking allergy shots once a week and Xolair injections twice a month. Medications I'm taking are Activella (HRT), Singulair, Advair 500/50 mg (inhaler), Synthroid approx. 125 mcg, Protonix, Albuteral inhaler PRN, Ambien 10mg. a night. Several vitamins including extra calcium and Liquid B12.
I also have arthritis pretty bad in my knees and left shoulder, and osteoporosis. I broke my ankle a year ago so severely that they had to do surgery and I now have a plate and screws in my ankle with part of the bone still not healed. However, I do try to stay active with walking and other minor activities. I've been told a few years ago that I have degenerative disc disease in my neck and that I have scoliosis in my lower back.
I have a friend that is a stroke nurse and she gave me the name of a neurologist to contact.
Is this enough information that someone could tell me what the possibilities are and things that they are probably not? I am just concerned about Parkinson's, Lou Gehrig's, etc.
Please let me know if more information is needed and I will be happy to provide.
