Zoster Herpes (Shingles)

Hello

I'm 22 and male.
When 12 i have hodgkins disease and was treated with chemo for 2 years then after getting the all clear.
Since then i've been fine and having check ups everyday.

For the last 5 days i've been fighting the Herpes Zoster virus (shingles).
I've been taking aciclovir but only since yesterday so yes there was a delay since the blisters first showed up etc...

I'm always taking a range of vitamins.

My question is does me having shingles at 22 years old maybe be due to the cancer coming back? or having HIV and not knowning so??

As i've been reading non stop and shingles is normally only common in people over 60 or people with cancer/ HIV with a lowered immune system.

Two weeks before the shingles i had a piece of my gum laser removed above my wisdom tooth. Was giving antibiotics.
During the pain from this i took painkillers and hardly eat throughout the week.
Could that have been enough to lower my immune to reactivate the herpes zoster virus? Or could i have the Hodgkins again or even HIV?

hi,Relax,you are anticipating too much.Herpes attack can happen at any time,probably during low immunity which could be due to underlying disease or malnourishment.

Please take regular meals along with fruits(build up immunity).As you were treated with chemotherapy,also had Hodgkins,which usually lead to low immunity.
