acoustic neuroma

by truegrace, Mar 25, 2008 12:16PM
I had balance problems and ringing in right ear, MRI diagnosed acoustic neuroma.
After 1 year, balance has returned and ringing is subsiding.
But from time to time I have intense pressure at the back of my head that extends to my shoulders and neck.
This gets particularly worse during stressful times and near my period.

Could this be because of this acoustic nueroma, and does acoustic nueroma patients recover from balance and ringing ears without surgery.

Hello.

Acoustic neuroma grows. The present symptoms are likely to be due to the neuroma. Hormonal imbalance during the menses also helps increase the severity of the symptoms.

It is very difficult to say that patients recover without surgery. At the most, the symptoms may remain stable for a long period of time.

Regards
