adrenaline action in head injury

in open head injury caseas ,if b.p is 140/90,lungs/crepts /unconscious/ear bleed is there in this case is adrenaline will cause any dmage

Hi,
Adrenaline is a vasopressure drug used for cardiac resuscitation and also used locally to control bleeding.With BP of 140/90 mmHg and head injury it should be avoided.In this condition it may cause increase in BP,increase in heart rate and this may worsen the outcome of the patient.
