Thank-you.
Thanks for writing in.
Fungal meningitis is a very are form of meningitis and usually occurs in immunocompromised people. The after effects of meningitis range from memory loss, dizziness, loss of co ordination, clumsiness, residual headaches, epilepsy, paralysis of one side of the body, speech problems and changes in vision. Not all effects occur in everyone and not all of them are long lasting.
It is important to know th cause of lesions in the brain as they can occur due to various causes. Benign causes like headaches, high BP, diabetes, smoking and alcoholism to more serious ones like MS, encephalitis, Alzheimer’s and dementia.
Hope this helps!
