hello and good day i have been devloping muscle wasting weakness that started in my left hand about 16 months ago then went to my small foot muscles then started in right hand then foot etc i have hyperactive reflexes with clonus and equivical plantor reflex i was sent for emg and the impression reads
1.bilateral median-d2, ulnar-d5 and sural snaps are normal
2.bilateral median-apb,left ulnar-adm,and right tibial-ah cmaps are normal
3.right ulnar -adm cmap has a normal amplitude and distal latency. normal amplitude, and mild slowing of conduction velocity accross the elbow
4.right peroneal-edb cmap has a mildly prolonged distal latency and amplitude with mild slowing of conduction velocity accross the knee
5.left peroneal edb cmap has a normal distal latency and amplitude with mild slowing accross the knee
6.bilateral peroneal f wave on set latencies are mildly prolonged
7.bilateral median and ulnar and right tibial f wave are normal
concentric needle exam
1.long duration polyphasic muaps with reduced requitment are seen in several muscles of upper and lower ext.
2.no abnormal spontaneous noted
impression
this study is abnormal there is electrophysiologic evidence of mild right ulnar neuropathy and of bilateral peroneal neuropathies. the abnormalites on the needle emg are non- specific and could be due to polyradiculopathy or a chronic disorder of motor neurons or their axons
comment the mononeuropathies peroneal and ulner are most lokely compression neuropathies due to thin body habitis the other abnormalites are non spec

so what do you make of this report mri is clean spinal tap clean all blood test for heavy metal b-12 tyroid and many others normal could this be als in absense of fibs i have fscics all the time none showed on emg but i have them also do you this motor neuropy is possible of the axon thanks for your time i am 28 year old white male who was prev. very healthy i have been diabled by this disease quickly whatever it maybe it is progressive..
