How soon after treatment for aneurysm, can a patient fly

Hi, Thank you for your question. Treatment outcome will completely depends upon the extent of aneurysm. Most serious consequence is stroke that may occur if this bursts in the brain. Factors that may cause this or contribute to its rupture are smoking, hypertension, head injury, family history of brain aneurysms. Please consult your treating neurologist for the same. Most Dr's give out lots of answers to that question.

You must phone the particular Dr who did the brain surgery or the coiling or the wrapping or the onyx treatment. There are many treatments for an Anneursym and did it rupture or was it treated prior to that?

Your question is too general but I urge you to call the Dr who treated the Ane - before flying!

When in doubt - drive or take a train/bus.
