anti-cardiolipin

by Dee41, Jun 16, 2008 07:54PM
I was diagnosed with anti phosphalipid anti bodies, anti-cardiolipin Ab (lgG) 16 ,after having 5 pregnancies, 3 miscarriages. Also a bi-cornuate uterus.  My 2nd pregnancy, (baby number one) 15 years ago at 30 weeks.  I was put on  disprin 150 mg daily and clexane injections 40 mg daily throughout my last pregnancy. I had a healthy baby boy 5 yrs ago. I am 41 yrs of age now, and have no idea if I should be medicated for this, and I don't know anything about it. Please make sence of this for me please.

Hi there.

You seem to have APAS (anti-phospholipid anti-body syndrome), and the complications and manifestations of this disease are treated mainly during pregnancy.  Outside of pregnancy this may not need further treatment but I suggest you discuss this with your allergologist or specialist.

Wishing you all the best.  Regards and God bless.
