Where to start?  I have been having daily headaches now for about four weeks.  They start after somewhere around 10:00 a.m. and they can last all day.  They have no real pattern.  They can be uni or bilateral.  They often affect the middle of my forehead and right behind one eye, but they can just as easily be at the back of my head, my temple or very commonly, my scalp.  Three or four times, on different days, I have had sharp quick pains shoot throughout my skull.  Most of my headaches are dull but very annoying.  Occasionally, they throb in different areas.  My eyes feel very strained and often, when I bend down, I can feel more pressure on my forehead area.  Now, a little history.  I had part of my thyroid removed last March.  I have currently been checked for thyroid levels and they are fine.  I have breast discharge in one nipple.  The dr. said it is infection and put me on cipro.  She did a mammo and checked blood for pituitary.  I also have a sinus infection and ear infection.  They extended cipro for thirty days to take care of that.  Sinus drainage is clear but dr said left nostril is plugged and does not have much room to breathe air.  Here's my question...could the sinus and ear infections cause all these headache variants or do I need further testing on pituitary or just brain in general?  Any help is greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

The infections could certainly be contributing to the headache. But the breast discharge needs further characterization. It's very important to note whether or not it;s truly an infection versus milky discharge called galactorrhea. As I have never personally examined you nor have I taken a clinical history, I can only say that if the d/c is at all suspicious and you're having all these headaches, I would definitely get an MRI of the brain for further evaluation. PItuitary tumor can certainly cause headaches and breast discharge, and should be ruled out. Good luck.

Last comment from me, I promise!  I wanted to add that I will sometimes get a blurry feeling in my eyes but it goes away and it is not constant.  I also get dizzy sometimes.  Sorry to add so much, but I want to offer as many clues as possible.

Both ear infections and sinus infections can cause headaches, dizziness, clumsiness, fatigue, etc.

It sounds like that medication you have been taking is not working. You may want to ask your doc for an antibiotic such as Keflex to get rid of that problem. If it is allergy caused, then ask for an allergy medication that agrees with you and does not give you negative side effects. You may even try an over the counter ellergy med for a short time to see if that changes anything. Just my opinion, I am no doc.

Hi there, wondering if maybe you might have a pituitary adenoma (a benign tumour of the pituitary gland).  Some of your symptoms like breast discharge, vision problems, headaches sound like this.  Maybe have your doctor order another blood test to see if your Prolactin level (a hormone that is produced by the pituitary gland) is elevated. You would also need an MRI scan of your brain to see if there is such a tumour.  Obviously wait to see what the doctor here suggests but I just thought I'd offer some insight while you wait for a response.  You could look up pituitary adenoma or tumour on any search engine like MSN or google etc... to see if some of the symptoms you're suffering with mimic yours.  Good luck
