anyone know the answers to these ms questions?

I have had ms-like symptoms for over 18 years that haev been basically mild.  Does anyone have any informaiton about bnign or mild ms and have any info. on the following questions??

1. I ms always progressive?

2. can you have a mild form of the disease throughout your lifetime?

3. is it always better to be on meds even if youve had mild symptoms for many years?

4. if you have had mild symptoms for many years does it usually indicate a more favorable course of the disease ?

I think you all know where Im headed with this.
I think I have ms..I am going to see a neruo on 2/22 at an MS Center in Jersey.  And of course I am frightened to be diagnosed so I am looking for hope of my future...

thanks for your help.

To address some of your questions,,,,,,
Yes it is possible to have Benign MS
If you have had mild symptoms for years it is likely you will continue to be fortunate.
I am currently awaiting some sort of diagnosis, been having mild to moderate progressive hemibody symptoms since July, as well as headache with eyepressure, and dizziness.
This worries me cause none of my symptoms have ceased. My most recent symptom started this week, numbness in the saddle area........scared to death! Made frantic call to Neuro yesterday, they have moved my MRI (brain and neck) scan to Monday afternoon(gonna do lower back scan as well), nurse mentioned starting me on steroids, but Dr. said it would interfere with scan
I am hoping for something other than MS, ....a small, benign, operable tumor, avm, or lyme disease...any of these seem less ominous than MS, but this is just my opinion and what I am wishing as a diagnosis my myself only!
Good Luck with your diagnosis!
please keep us posted!!!!
