arachnoid CYST!

I'm seventeen a recently found out I have an arachnoid cyst!
I'm still not so sure what it is and i'm still scared!
any advice?

"Arachnoid mater" is one of the three covering layers of membranes which cover and protect the brain. Arachnoid is between the "Dura mater" outside and the "pia mater" inside.
Arachnoid cyst is a fluid filled space covered by the arachnoid. It can be from birth.
Do you have any symptoms which are due to the cyst ? If it is giving you trouble, there are modes of treatment. The cyst can be removed, or drained.
