arachnoid cyst and spinal anesthesia.

i have a arachnoid cyst in my brain..and i need to get spinal anesthesia for my csection...since the spinal meds are injected into the spinal fluid....what could it do to the cyst in my head?

Hi, Thank you for your question. I don't think that spinal medicines would affect your cyst if you don't have any present symptoms with your cyst. However, if cyst is large it can cause few neurological symptoms. Please keep in touch with your treating doctor for better insight of the situation. Hope this helps.

could it cause something serious....like brain damage? im just asking becausei know the cyst is filled with spinal fluid and the spinal meds get injected INTO the spinal fluid....
