arms and hands seize up

I am a 53 year old woman with dilated cardiomyopathy and I have been experiencing sudden muscle tightening and seizing up to the point where my arms and hands becoming crippling in shape. It starts on both sides running down from just below my shoulders and lasts for about 3-5 min. It has been going on for about 3 months, but it is now happening more often. this month it happend 8-2,8-11,8-12 and now 8-23. today's seems to be lingering in weakness and feeling like its going to happen again. Can anyone give me a suggestion as to what my body is trying to tell me?
