Hi there. Hemangioma of spine is typically seen in thoracic region, and the majority are found only on imaging. Very few progress to cause neurological symptoms. The most common complaints include back pain, neurological symptoms secondary to pressure placed on the spinal cord.  Usually these have high signal on T1 and T2 but can be low in signal or is intense on T1. These may be benign or malignant tumors and a biopsy would confirm. Spinal hemangiomas are also referred to as benign spinal tumors. One must consult a neurosurgeon as the first step in treatment if symptoms like back pain and radiculopathies like nerve pain or numbness etc radiating to extremities. Take care
