back pain and hard to breath

back pain and hard to breath

I am desperate for answers and in the past 2 1/2 mths have been to about 5 different doctors who really left me high and dry without any definitive answers.  I am very discouraged as my symptoms seem to be growing & health declining and am not sure where to turn for answers.  I  am a 42 year old female and have been fortunate enough to have excellent health my whole life and remain very fit and active.  That is until the past couple of months as I am slowly but surely going down.   It all started about 6 months ago  when I had bad ear ache and strep throat and was given Antibiotics to tx and it seemed to clear up except for fluid in my ear.  The next 3 months I was in and out of ENT office being tx. for fluid in ear and him trying to figure out what the cause was so he ordered a CT of face and neck and all was clear of turmors, etc.  After the second round of Corticosteriods( very strong second dose 10mg tid x 4,  bid x  3, & qd x 3  I started  having a slight pain or discomfort in my left side and extremely tired so I went to  visit to my family dr who ran random blood test including a Chemistry profile, CBC, Mono Spot and all came back normal.  I continued to have this discomfort and a week later a pain in my left upper back (shoulder blade area) what seemed to be between my spine and scapula  and down near the heart and it felt hard to breath.  The ER dr checked a D Dimler and Chest X Ray to r/o blood clot and all was clear so sent me home w/ dx of pulled muscle.  I went to back Fx Dr and he ordered CT Chest and Abdomen, CT Abdomen revealed multiple lesions (cysts or abscesses) on spleen and because of the number of lesions has enlarged my spleen to 13cm.  At that time I was referred to a Infectious Dx Dr who ran enough test to provide 2 or 3 patients with blood transfusions and ruled out several fungal/parasitic infections which would have been considered endemic to areas where I had previously traveled.  All came back neg so he dismissed me and wanted to take the wait and see approach.  I am not comfortable with this because now the pain had migrated to my right side (liver area) and my entire abdomen is at times  bloated and uncomfortable.  I also developed GI symptoms, burning with eating/drinking  and so the GI Dr performed a Endoscopy which appears normal & has scheduled a Gallbladder study as next step.  Now, I am having muscular aches and pains which move around my upper back sometimes on left sometimes on right scapula regions and at times my left hand and arm are tingling and numb.  I have had a negative PET scan (although I noticed the dye hurt in areas where I am and have had these pains), and today my left eye is aching, hurts to move it. I'm sorry for the long story but am at a loss for what to do now and wonder if my slightly enlarged spleen could be compressing on Spinal Nerves causing these bizarre s/s? My fx dr thinks I may have fibromyalgia but I dont think my s/s fit the description.   If anyone can offer any suggestions forwhat I might do now to get some answers  I would greatly appreciate it.
