back pain sensation and constipation

by bettyboop77, May 24, 2007 12:00AM
My mother has constant burning back pain sensation and constant constipation, she was told 3 years ago she had diverticulitis but we think it is something else as she does not have the other symptoms, she is in constant agony.  I would appreciate your advice.

Do you know if they have done an MRI of her back?  Nerve compression in the back can cause burning pain and constipation.  Where is the burning felt?
