Hello,
Welcome ....OKAY, so it wasn't ten min....That's cause I HUNT AND PECK!!!!   I saw that smile!!!  are you prepared now to read...okay, something here is not right....how did you handle it to this point...wow, I am so glad you had the mri done to rule out blunt trauma injury and now days they are so accurate you just need the correct person looking at the results...were you physically well prior to this and btw did you fall over the mop or, over exert yourself while mopping, have a moment of weaknessor dizziness right prior....or just plain clumbsy because you were in a hurry....I'm just asking so that I get a feel as to how this has manifested over the last several weeks...Pinched nerves can radiate pain and it would follow the sachreileach (SPELLING, brain freeze),....now as for the pain meds not working....yea, yea, yea,....okay let us get you some relief....Do you have a tub or shower or ALL IN ONE?   Heating pad, tylenol or generic your pain med if it is due now....a cup of hot tea or coffee......Put heating pad on bed , plug it in, make the cup of hot drink get pills ready(((DEPENDING ON WHAT YOU ARE PRESCRIBED))) it would be okay to add 1-500 mg tylenol or generic to your regular meds...if it is not time for your prescribed meds you can take 2-500mg of tylenol or generic.....NOW THIS IS JUST TO GAIN CONTROL OF THE PAIN...you do want to be careful mixing otc with rx ones There are maximums of mgs and some rxs already have tylenol in them...
now ...go run a bath, soak in hot water and if you can lay down in there do it and allow the hot water to loosen the tightness in your body created by the continued pain....while sitting there for 10-15 min at least...take the meds with the hot drink...It will melt the pills so that there is more of it in the blood at the same time...If it is the soak finish with just standing under the hotter shower...if you only have the shower...I hope your hot water heater is big...You just let that hot water massage the tissues because sometimes VERY GENTLE self manipulation especially when relaxed and water massaged, can help....now you took the meds and had the water therapy now off to bed and the heating pad....No your not done yet!!!!   I want you to lay down...slowly start breathing in through your nose long and slow and deep and as you breath in also start raising your shoulders up to your ear lobes....now soon you will want to breath out...do this slow as though you were blowing through a straw...and as you blow out.... imagine that in your arms there are ten lb weights pulling the muscles down...no jerking...just slow, constant moving down ....now time for a regular breath in... but still through the nose and just feel how the stomach rises and falls with each breath...it is not the lungs that move, it is the diaphram....that is just so kool...All there things COMBINED can help control your pain until the dr calls but PLEASE do keep in touch....I do understand!!  I will say Have a wonderful night of sleep and I hope tomorrow finds you feeling more refreshed and less pain....Sometimes I need to use that scenerio 2-3 times a day although I'm not so sure of your need to function in society...There are limitations to time spent at home or not doing things.  Have a wonderful Blessed Day!!!!!     GOD BLESS!!!!       loimmarmar

Hi there. You need to rule out trauma to the shoulder. These symptoms appear to be due to slipped or prolapsed intervertebral disc. A herniated disc can produce symptoms anywhere along the course of the nerve, though injury and irritation of the nerve are at the spine itself.  Pain in the back with numbness or weakness in corresponding organs like slipped disc in neck causes neck symptoms and associated numbness, tingling, weakness or pain in shoulder, neck, arm or hand. For slipped disc in lower back, you may get pain down the back of leg from buttocks to knee or beyond and numbness, tingling, weakness or pain in buttocks, back, legs and feet. One may feel numbness and tingling around anus and genitals and pain with movement, straining, coughing or leg raises. There may be difficulty controlling bowel and bladder motion.  Consult a neurologist and an MRI spine is mandatory. Hope this helps. Take care.

Hello again,
I am so glad that you did the bath thing...not that you were dirty...lol...okay..as I read in the drs explaination...yes yes and yes..as far as the pain extending and radiating...One thing is that when you fell, whatever you bruised....injured...broke or put out of place....YOU started to walk and hold your body different....even if you think NO...YES....EVERYONE does,...It is automatic that we hobble, limp or in some way PROTECT the injured area.....now since you are contouring in ways that are not normal or sometimes uncomfortable, the muscles that we are now using more...start to throw a fit....I say...If the mri was fine...GREAT,  now you just need to allow things to heal and the time frame on that can depend on what all you do....If you decide to wash the walls and paint...it will take longer for you to heal...You want to keep range of motion during the healing by stretching...SLOWLY  a little bit at a time...Just make sure you use the prior suggestion as you said you did and believe me, I got to know my bathtub quite well.....just remember when the pain is out of control...get control by the tea, heat and water method and just so you know...What you think about during the... you just got relaxed after the three fold thing....WHAT you think about especially right then.... can either hinder   or    help the healing process.....YOU NEED TO LEARN TO BRING ALL ASPECTS OF THE BODY AND MIND INTO AGREEMENT AND IN LINE!!   In my speech...fear, scared worried..........NO, that language is not permitted!!!!    CONCERNED, YES...Please Let us know how it goes...Have a wonderful Blessed Day!!!!     GOD BLESS!!!!     loimmarmar

thanks so much you have been so helpful..I hate to keep posting about more issues i just seem so lost now knowing what is wrong with me, but here is what I have noticed...my daughter was rubbing my back for me and when she got down to the tailbone area the pain was so bad that I screamed and had tears omg this was the worst ever all she did was lightly rub and there it was I have tried to touch that area myself but it is pretty painful.. the dr did examin that area and it did hurt with his touch as well but not as bad? could this actually be comming from my tailbone?? so sorry I keep asking all these questions but i dont know what eles to do and this has helped me deal with the pain knowing I have some where to turn for questions!!! one more thing should I go back to the DR. I am not the kind of person who goes to the DR often and I am not sure if I should just deal with it since the MRI was normal?? I dont want to keep bugging him about the same problem just dont know what to do when the pain is soo bad i can scream??? answers would be great and a cure LOL thanks everyone for the help

Hello,
GUESS WHAT!!   You are just getting us closer to figuring it out...please do not be sorry for writing, asking, complaining, crying, or the fact that these things DO have a tendency of moving and changing....SOMETIMES so fast...you can't keep up with it?....I just went back and re-read everything and I think you have a very valid point with the tailbone area because that would cause the radiating pain down the leg..now if there is a herniation of a disk and or rupture, these are very painful...Now when you said mri....we never did specify of what...shoulder, hip, spine or all body? If it was of the shoulder...return to dr with current symptoms because it takes time for some things to progress, especially due of the time frame so far...I know you are holding your body different and this also causes things that you never even knew you had, to suddenly HURT....There are conditions such as fibromyalgia that will give the all over body hurt that changes at whim, where, intensity as well as the type of pain, burning, stinging, pulling, stabbing......And one thing that makes ALL these pains worse.......Stress and worry and being scared....CONCERNED in my mind is different...it shows caring and love....not fear or defeat....It really is true....Where you mind goes...The man follows...YES, keep track of the pain as far as documentation for the dr as well as....in order to stop it either by surgery, meds, or WHEN NEEDED....
the mind...what you concentrate on....When it gets to the point where YOU JUST CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!!!!......Bath or shower with tea, tylenol and meds, heating pad, several breaths to relax body and mind with the blocks in thought, then think of the big fluffy cottonball cloud the you are just propped back on and JUST ALLOW ALL THESE THINGS TOGETHER ....to get the pain under control...Now personally I do something else as I am on this cloud....I talk to GOD...NOT ABOUT ME!!   About others that I have met along this voyage...When I start thanking him for this person or that person who was there to help me during this crisis or that crisis.....THE LIST becomes unending and the next thing I know, I am waking up either hours later for a bathroom trip ...or....it is morning....AND I ALWAYS FEEL  M U C H  BETTER....Then I go right away to thank him because I know where my strength came from..He never gives more than we can handle....
You are a VERY STRONG person to have handled this in this manner, and not just cussing everyone out...I have found that someone   REALLY GETTING IT   does help the psyc part of pain..Hey, we are still going to be here when you type...Yea, I had a great day today and the weather is beautiful...Is there anyone out there that can know,  I do understand, and want to help.....Have a blessed day!!!    GOD BLESS!!!!    loimmarmar
