It all settled down and I waited for review with neuro witch took 9 mths ( I live in scotland) Neuro told me that he though I had had a episode of demylination and booked me in for a mri and lp which took 6 mths to get by this time the numbness back burning sensations and dizziness especially in shopping centre supermarket shelfs brought it on. Also had episodes that brought on dizziness and numbness with head pressure then it would settle. Went back to neuro all tests negative he said that it maybe migraine related and started me on Amitriptyline which eventually helped. So things settled down got preganent with second child and had put the MS thing out my mind. Had difficult birth with baby and had my second c section felt quite good after surgery noticed that i was a little dizzy for very short periods after having the baby mentioned to GP said things are just settling after baby.
Now the dizzinees has become very troublesome feel off balance a lot, slight numbness to right leg and arm face also slightly numb head pressure also like numbness in my scalp, and a new sx of neck pain. Back on Amitriptyline which seems to be dulling it all down. Waiting to be seen by General Docs at hosiptal as FP thinks it would take too long to see Neuro.
Hi. Just reading your post and it sounds very similar to what I have been going through, but I do not have the numbness and weakness. I have been dizzy - especially when shopping - but now most of the time during the day. I have had all of the bloodwork and testing done and everything came back negative...that was 1 and 1/2 years ago, so I am always worried that something may have changed since then because I am still dizzy. I too just had my second baby and the dizziness is very troublesome. Doctors can't seem to figure out what is wrong, but I am beginging to believe them when they say all of this may be cause by my anxiety over thinking I have MS. At this point my symptoms have not really changed in the last 1+ years, no better or worse, so I have to believe the dotors when they say that if something serious were wrong I would be having some additional symptoms. I guess my point is that, even though it is hard to believe, anxiety over thinking you have a certain illness, such as MS, can bring about very scary thoughts and even worse, physical symptoms. Have you considered that it may be anxiety? It is a really hard thing to cope with the realty of the physical side of anxiety, but if you can remind yourself that all of your testing was okay, you may eventually be able to face your fear head on and in turn it may reslove. Good luck to you - my heart goes out to you as I know how scary it can be.
