basilar migrains

by need, Oct 19, 2007 07:07PM
My daughter was diagnosed with basilar migrains at age 11. She is now 23 and her nuerologist does not know what to try next. She has had every test in the book and all are clear and normal. Her symptoms are sudden roller coaster feeling then double vision weaknes ,sometimes slight headache, insomnia, frequent urination, and they can happen all day long and last anywhere from 2 min. to 30 min. She sometimes has them for months at a time. The longest lasting one was 9 mo. My question is.. Does this sound normal for basilar migrains? I always thought they were more like some kind of siezure disorder, but her eeg was normal.. Any thoughts????
