I am a 38 year old female. About a month ago I went to the dr. for dizziness/vertigo with low level nausea and fatigue. Eye pain and dizziness triggured visually.eyes ached. I thought maybe I had a sinus infection. My doctor would not dismiss it as a sinus infection becuase three years ago I was seen for simular symtoms plus head ache, light sensitivity and neck pain. MRI was fine and neuro/ ENT dx as virual meningitis. So basic labs were done (thyroid blood count etc) all normal and a referral to neuro. A week after my complaints for dizziness I began to have problems with my hands, Precision problems. Tying a bow, typing, writing etc. dizziness was worse and driving only made it symtoms worse. I felt as if my brain was on fire. I have had 2 MRIs both normal, blood work to include myasthenia gravis, lyme, lupus etc all normal. A low normal sarcole. MY symptoms are now bilateral arm and leg weakness, muscles all over my body ache, twitching in legs, arms etc. Rest does improve however no sooner do I use my extremities and my symptoms get worse. I get burning/tingling in my face along my right cheek and neck, left eye and nose. Balance problems. Some days joint pain some days none. Very hard to go to work. I can not tell you how many times I have hit the wrong key typing this email. My hands get cold as I use them. eye pain gone, still a little dizzy but not much. Neuros final comment via office manager was that he did not feel my symptoms were related to neurological disease and he was not recommending further testing No EMG etc. My worst fear is ALS. I am miserable! Please help!
