bilateral mastoid mucosal disease

MRI results showed...
Impression: "Bilateral mastoid mucosal disease. Otherwise, normal MRI of the brain."
Neurologist told me on the phone it was normal.
A response was that it is inflammation of the middle ear.
Don't I need to know that to do something about it?
My 11 yo son wet there because of his headaches and noted extreme sensitivities to light and sound.
He is non-verbal and I really want as much info. as possible, cause he's still hurting.

Thank you to the lady who already responded.
