I am suffering from facial nerve schwanomma did a gamma knife 3yrs back now i've taken mri i'm writi the impression report can u please explain what it means.ovoid extra-axial soft tissue mass lesion in posteromedial aspect of right middle cranial fossa.having both solid and cystic components showing intense homogenous enhancement of the former&lack of enhancement of the latter with destruction of ipsilateral petrous apex with possible with compression of right sided mandibular divisionthe 5th cranial nerve along with extrinsic indentation of right posteromedial temporal lobe are in favour of the lesion being a residual /recurrent neoplasm{?trigeminal schwanomma}arising from the region of meckels cave.
