brainstem death

brainstem death

My husband died on February this year of a primary intracranial brainstem hemorrhage. He took it very sudden. He started by suffering from headaches the week before. Two days before he was rushed into hospital the headache had gone until one night his face started burning up followed by numbness down the left side. He then stopped breathing. They kept him on the ventilator for 48 hours.Eventually the consultant told me there was no hope for him as it had been shown on the scan a bruising around the bleed which would completely shut his brain down. As he was slipping away, before the snoring started, his face turned a deep blue purple colour, it came down his face like a shower of rain, not one of the medical staff can explain why this happened, no one has seen this before. Would you have any answers as to why this happened?

Hi ...I am not a medical professional, but I do want to extend my deepest sympathies.

I know you want to understand all this, but unfortunatly the human body is so complex and everyone is different yet the same.....that sometimes there is no way to understand.

If his drs could not explain it to you, I doubt neone else can.

I pray u can find peace,
