bulging disks

I just had an MRI and the results were broad-based disc bulging and osteophyte formation with moderte narrowing of the central canal and moderate narrowing of the exit foramina in the C3-4, C4-5, C5-6, C6-7 (grossly patent foramen) and C7-T1 are all bulging.  i have constant head aches and if i bend my head a certain way it gets "stuck" and feels if i move it the head will "crack" off - after gently getting it to move again there is always a severe pain in the area - can anything be done to reduce/get rid of/help the bulging disks?? other than surgery??? any input would be appreciated.
