burning, itching, numb left thigh
I have a burning, itchy numb left thigh. I am about 30 pounds overweight. I noticed these symptoms about a year ago and it has gotten progressivly worse. Started at night i noticed my left toes were a little numb. Then as time went on I noticed a several months ago my left thigh started burning and going numb. It's not just at night anymore it is all day. Doesn't so much hurt as is very annoying. But a new symptom is if i put my left foot on my right knee to put my socks on it feels like a rubber band snaps in my left thigh. It happens sometimes when i cough hard. That hurts. It is very scary. From the other posts i've read i won't bother going to the Doc because they won't know what it is. I am a senior nursing student and will make it a point to find out what this is.
First thought diabetic neuropathy, but i don't have diabetes.
thought possible DVT- don't have DVT
Thanks
Melissa
