burning sensation on my skin

Hi, i think that i have the same sensation my left side of the leg hurts, starting from the buttoks towards the foot, when i step on my foot it hurts, and my skin i cant even rubb it cause it feels like it burns i have been like that for 3 days already and it just got worse now i feel pain in my private parts and when i go to the restroom it is really uncompfortable. i went to the doctor today and she told me that i was probably just a pinched nerve. She gave me morfine and a muscle relaxer. I hope that it was what she said and that it goes away.

Hi there. You need to be seen by a neurologist to check your neurological status and if there is any deficit in the left side. This could be a pinched nerve, prolapsed intervertebral lumbar disc, and sciatica, trauma to the foot or lesion in the left foot pressing on nerve supplying the left foot. You need to undergo an MRI spine to check for disc lesions, bony spurs in the back etc, EMG and NCV or nerve conduction velocity test to check for the involved nerves. This should tell where the problem is. Management would include NSAIDS, hot fomentation, massage, exercises and physiotherapy, epidural injection of steroids,  and lastly surgical decompression depending on the diagnosis and degree of damage.
