buzzy feeling

Okay, I have already asked a question about buzzing, but I must admit, I was searching for this elsewhere on the internet when I came up with a disturbing discovery.  I found a sight in which someone had suggested that buzzing was the fillibration associated with ALS. IS this true? I also found on this forum here in the archives that buzzing might possibly be many numerous fasics in a row.  Please tell me which is correct.  Is buzzing anything associated with ALS? Is it associated with MS?  Is it a sensory symptom that everyone talks about?  Please clarify this question for me.

Dear Becky:

There are no sensory findings in ALS, so buzzy feelings are not apart of ALS.  You would not feel fibrillations, but one can feel fasciculations as an undulating feeling or twitches.  However, there should be frank weakness on neurological exam.  In MS, one can see sensory findings.  Again, the symptoms should not be wide spread initially, although later in the disease it can be.  There is usually more motor findings than sensory findings, as the demyelination process is random but usually encompasses areas near the lateral ventricles which are near areas of motor function.

I hope this helps.

Sincerely,
