c-6 herniation

c-6 herniation

Hi - I'm 45 - Female. Diagnosed and actively treated for Fibromyalgia.  In January, I was told that I had a herniated C-6 disc.  I had a lot of shoulder and arm pain with numbness and tingling in the hands.  A surgeon consulted and said that it wasn't bad enough for surgery.  Eventually, I received trigger point injections in the shoulder and that seemed to help.  For the last two weeks, I have had an increase in the numbness and tingling in my hands - and although my shoulder doesn't hurt - it is uncomfortable - if that makes any sense.  However, my concern is lately, I have a sensation of "electrical shocks" between going between my shoulder and down my neck.  Should I be concerned?  I actually dislike going to Dr's - and certainly don't want to go to hear that it's all in my head.  Thank you for your time

Go back to your doctor and see if he thinks some physical therapy will help. It worked great for me. No its not in your head. Dont go off on your on and let anyone twist your neck have the doctor write you an order for PT.
