can tetnus cause muscle spasms in the muscle that leans your head one way and turns it the opposite way?

I have a friend who is having pain "In her ear" but ENT finds nothing, Dentist finds nothing, and PT says TMJ is okay and the only muscle spasms she has are of the SCM muscle that leans the neck one way and turns it the other way when it spasms.. Could this be a sign of tetnus? My friend has not had a buster since pre-school.
