thank your for your insight, the measurements are in mm for the hydromyelia and the neurosurgeon is sending me back to the hand dr, the hydromyelia is too small to do the surgery have to do another mri in 3 months to see if it is growing, both drs are telling me that the severity of what is happening is minimal and should not be causing this much pain so it is a ping pong and you are right no one is addressing the pain have what six different problems all seen on the mri  wrist= carpal tunnel 1to2, ganglion cyst, and fibrosis  / neck=hydromyelia, minimal bulging disks 2, and arachnoid cycst i will take your advice and go seek another opinion thank you for your help

I would wonder why you have the hydromyelia and  arachnoid cyst, is it due to an obstruction of CSF?
There are congenital conditions such as Chiari Malformation that cause CSF obstruction and lead to the problems you have. Paraneural cysts can cause nerve problems.
Have you had a Brain MRI?

I agree with Londres70, get a third opinion, try and find a NS with experience of dealing with Syringomyelia and related conditions...

The measurements you gave for the hydromyelia, are they in mm or cm?  Your situation does call for a NS( Neurosurgeon).  I don't know why you were referred back to the other physician, which I am assuming is a NL (Neurologist) unless the NS thought the hydromyelia was just too small to do surgery.  Surprisingly, no one addressed your pain issue either.

I would recommend a getting a third opinion; another NS
