carpal tunnel and hydromyelia

for the last year and a half i have gotten gradual pain in my wrists started with my hands falling asleep at night then wrist pain then pain from the elbow to the fingers like something was crushing it some zings from wrist to fingers some numbness on the top of the arm, had mri and emg of wrist, had small ganglion cyst, carpal tunnel, and fibrosis had injection done, physical therapy, and bioelectric therapy nothing worked got second opinion and went to neurosurgeon had mri of neck done came back with hydromyelia not a very big spot 8.5x4.5x2.5 in spinal cord, had two minimal bulging disks C-5 C-6 and c-6 C-7, and paraneural arachnoid cyct neurosurgeon said go back to hand dr, hand dr told me that it was not bad carpal tunnel 1 to 2 degree and should not be causing me that much pain. I am still in pain and don't know what to do next got any suggestions.

The measurements you gave for the hydromyelia, are they in mm or cm?  Your situation does call for a NS( Neurosurgeon).  I don't know why you were referred back to the other physician, which I am assuming is a NL (Neurologist) unless the NS thought the hydromyelia was just too small to do surgery.  Surprisingly, no one addressed your pain issue either.

I would recommend a getting a third opinion; another NS

I would wonder why you have the hydromyelia and  arachnoid cyst, is it due to an obstruction of CSF?
There are congenital conditions such as Chiari Malformation that cause CSF obstruction and lead to the problems you have. Paraneural cysts can cause nerve problems.
Have you had a Brain MRI?

I agree with Londres70, get a third opinion, try and find a NS with experience of dealing with Syringomyelia and related conditions...

thank your for your insight, the measurements are in mm for the hydromyelia and the neurosurgeon is sending me back to the hand dr, the hydromyelia is too small to do the surgery have to do another mri in 3 months to see if it is growing, both drs are telling me that the severity of what is happening is minimal and should not be causing this much pain so it is a ping pong and you are right no one is addressing the pain have what six different problems all seen on the mri  wrist= carpal tunnel 1to2, ganglion cyst, and fibrosis  / neck=hydromyelia, minimal bulging disks 2, and arachnoid cycst i will take your advice and go seek another opinion thank you for your help
