cauda equina help!

hiya,
ive just signed up to this site after being affected by cauda equina syndrome in sept 2006. even though i have been suffering for almost 18 months i still find everything very difficult ti come to terms with. As well as symptoms related to cauda equina syndrome, i still suffer from chronic pain from my lower back to my feet. if anyone has any suggestions or tips that are non medical i would really appriciate it as i stuggle daily with taking care of my 2 year old son.
