cavernous hemangioma with hyperdense/partially calcified lesion in the right superior temporal lobe

My CT & MRI confirm a cavernous hemangioma with hyperdense/partially calcified lesion in the right superior temporal lobe. In the my first ct on 11/06/2006 the size of the leasion was 12x10 mm's. & as per the MRI dates29/11/2007 the size of the leasion has increased to 1.8x1.8 cm. I had a first FIT in 06/2006 after which i had 3 consecutives FITs on 23/09/2007 ( Doctor aclaims these fits were becaused i missed my 2 medicine doses and also was empty stomach since morning for which the doctor already warned me that neither i shouild miss my medicine nor should i be empty stomach at any time also i should have plenty sleep and the day before i did not even sleep well) My age is 26 as of today and as of today i am taking SELZIC 600mg in the morning & 750mg in the evening & RIVOTRIL 0.5mg in the night. Please advise what is the best treatment.

Hi Dear,

Surgical resection is an option, but depending on the location of the lesion and the existing comorbidities, surgical resection may not be the best option.
Stereotactic radiosurgery is an important option in Arteriovenous malformations and hemorrhagic cavernous malformations. The procedure is relatively contraindicated in patients with concomitant venous angiomas because of the high incidence of posttreatment morbidity.
Radiosurgery is defined as a single-session closed-skull injury of an intracranial target. This target is stereotactically defined by using high-dose ionizing external-beam irradiation with relative sparing of surrounding normal tissue. Several techniques are highly effective in the treatment of Arteriovenous malformations.
Kindly consult your neurologist and please adhere to the medication as prescribed.
Take care
