cervical fusion C3-C6

I am scheduled to have C3,C4,C5,C6 fused and am very concerned about ROM after the surgery. Someone told me that I would not be able to move my head more than an inch in any direction! Is this true? Thanks Linda

Without the ability to examine and obtain a history, I can not tell you what the exact cause of the symptoms is. However I will try to provide you with some useful information.

I would suggest you discuss this with the surgeon performing the surgery. The ROM will depend on the surgery (instrumentation, post-op immobilization, etc), rehabilitation, and you (each person is different).
