HI, I HAVE 3 BULGED DISC IN MY CERVICAL SPINE & I JUST ONE SURGICALLY REMOVED WITH FUSHION ON OCT 31ST. A PAIN SPECIALIST CAN GIVE YOU CERVCAL SPINE EPIDURAL INJECTIONS TO REDUCE THE INFLAMMATION. I GUESS THE TREATMENT DOES HELP MANY PEOPLE, BUT IT HAS NOT BEEN EFFECTIVE FOR ME,SO SURGERY WAS MY ONLY OPTION! GOOD LUCK & I WISH U THE BEST!!

Hi.

The only treatment for disc herniation is surgery. However, conservative management can be instituted to lessen the pain associated with the disc bulge.

Your options include exercise and physical therapy, acupuncture, over-the-counter pain medications, and transcutaneous nerve stimulation. You should consult a neurologist about these forms of treatment.

Hope this helps.

probably physical therapy would be good. I too have disk bulges in my cervical spine.  This was from my MRI 2 years ago. I have another one on 11/13 because my symptoms have gotten worse in my neck.  But without surgery, physicial therapy, definately.  GOOD LUCK
