chiari malformation and torticollis

chiari malformation and torticollis

About a year ago i suffered an injury to my neck. After a few weeks i started to get spasms in my right side of neck near my shoulder. Then it became hard to keep my head balanced. Went to get an MRI of neck and it was fine, but then another MRI of head showed i had an 8.5mm compression.
I was sent to see a neurosurgeon and he said it looked like torticollis and sent me to a movement disorder clinic. I am presently on botox injections which do help but my problem is that my right side of neck still hurts, when i get up from sitting i get light headed for a few seconds, when im relaxed i can hear some sort of draining noise in my neck and sometimes in my right ear, my right arm is very weak( have an appointment for a EMG) to a point where when i raise my arm it tends to want to pull on my neck in the opposite side, i get lots of headaches, I cough alot during the day and when im driving i tend to loose sight of where i am. I want to know is if you think the torticollis is related to the chiari malformation or should i get another opinion?
Thanks
