chiari malformation

by pumakillr, Mar 18, 2008 07:17PM
My daughter-in law had surgery to correct a Chiari malformation approx. 21/2 yrs. ago. She also had a considerable syrinx @ that time, which has reduced, since the surgery.  She has been having some blood prssur problems, esp. increased diastolic, along with migraines, etc.  Her neurosurgeon has ordered an MRI.  He mentioned something that sounded to her like Leemertz?  He said it had to do with pressure on the spinal cord or column.  She didn't ask many questions, but is worried.  I've had trouble finding this term.
