chiari type 1

I am not sure what my question is my daughter is 2 years old and being a law student i am naive to medical issues other than what I have studies after the diagnosis. I have two neurologist in my area both have been seen. She was in the hospital for almost 2 weeks with severe vertigo before being diagnosed with chiari type 1. They did a flow study and found the fluid around the brain was very slowed. The administered steroids which seemed to temporarily rectify the situation. NOW six months later she is having bad headaches that are progressively getting worse. i have concerns and they are passing it off as the flu. A persistant head ache in a 2 years old is rare let a lone a cold as the culprit with no visible signs of a illness other than headaches. The severity of the pain causes her to wake in the night Ibuproffin dulls it. She seems to also have an extremely high pain tolerance in upper extremities not sensitive to hot or cold I will have to scold her to not touch the outside of the hot oven. Please help!

I agree with razzle...Dr. Frimm at the Childerens Hosp..is a chiari expert.

you must get  her to see the Chiari and SM specialist in Chicago . Dr. David Frim . He is wonderful
