child has buzzing leg & arm, in utero stroke

My child's mild CP (in utero stroke) symptoms have resurfaced after two years symptom free. Started with an episode 4 weeks ago - complaint of buzzing leg, dropped to the floor, rigid lims, blank stare, tearing eyes, no movement, no speaking for 30 minutes. Sluggish for 2 1/2 hours following, as he gradually returned to an energetic 6 year old boy. Since then, intermittent right side numbness, clumsiness, drooling. Woke yesterday morning at 4am with headache and vomitting. Stroke? Seizure? What? Thanks for your help

CP does not progress!  What is happening to your son is new and needs to be evaluated as soon as possible!  The episode 4 weeks ago sounds like a seizure.  The new symptoms are VERY CONCERNING for increased intracranial pressure.  He may be developing hydrocephalus. (This is quite possible for a child who suffered an in utero stroke) The onset in a young child of headache and vomiting, especially associated with worsening neurologic symptoms (numbness, clumsiness, increased difficulty handling his saliva) is worrisome.  He needs an MRI of his head today!  I cannot say that with enough emphasis!  If you can't reach his pediatrician, then take him to the ER and demand a brain scan!  

I am a pediatrician and am telling you this with all seriousness!  Please, don't let this wait!  I may be an alarmist.  It probably isn't something that dire, but in my mind "probably" isn't good enough.
