chronic dizziness, getting WORSE!

I have had dizziness since mid summer, pretty much exclusively when I walk or run (feel normal sitting or lying down), some days worse than others, annoying but managable until a few weeks ago when it became worse.  Walking (movement of my body) is still the worst, I tend to feel unstable and almost veer a bit left, and now I get it when I bend over or look up as well.  It isn't true vertigo, I am miserable. I have had a negative MRI, eye exam (no nystagmus), and basic neuro exam, all negative.  Blood tests negative.  Neuro thinks it is a vestibular problem and ENT thinks it isn't, he says the fact that I feel fine when sitting or lying down indicates it is NOT vestibular but my eye guy also seems convinced my inner ear is to blame,  Antivert helps a bit. I have another neuro appointment next week and she said she would do a spinal tap to check further for MS to make me feel better, although she thinks the negative MRI is significant and highly doubts it is neuro in origin.  Any suggestions or advice, I am desperately miserable and worried!

Have you had vestibular testing done?

If it is responding to antivert, I would have to agree it is a vestibular issue.

Was the ENT Specialist you saw specialized in dealing with balance disorders and/or vestibular conditions?  Not all ENT Specialists are competent to treat these problems.
