thanks for respond iwish you add me as friend on medhelp
I have tremors too, the docs call them familial tremors, and my father had them his whole life. He was an orthopedic surgeon and it didn't stop him, but as he got older and stopped practicing medicine his health went downhill and he upped his alcohol intake. The more he drank, the worse his shakes got.
When I try to do something precise with my hands they start going like mad, and if I'm stressed, or if I've had a lot of caffeine I can't control it.
When I was about 19-20 a pdoc gave me what I think was a betablocker to help me, as i was at uni then. He said to take it before doing public speaking or anything that made me freak out. I did and it worked, but then it's not something you can take for the rest of your life just because of shakes, so i quit and never took anything else.
Now when I know I have to be in the public eye (I teach English in Italy) I take a light sedative beforehand to calm my nerves and it helps.
As for what happened to your mother when she was pregnant, i have no idea. Anyone else in your family have it?
please any dr. answer me quickly
