compartment syndrome

I had a fasciotomy for compartment syndrome in all four compartments six months ago.  a couple days after the surgery I had pain in my right leg still. still to this day my right leg is numb, hypersensitive, experiencing sharp, intense, shooting pains.  It feels like i have a knife piercing through my leg throughout the day.  The pain really hasnt let up at all and has remained constant.  I went and had a second opinion and had a cortisone injection in my leg and it relieved the pain somewhat, but the shot has worn off and now I am back to feeling hopeless. Do you have any ideas of what I can do or try?

Did you do some Physiotherapy after the surgery?
Steroid injections will not be a cure and they will give you relief for some time. You should visit your surgeon, better specialist and try out as this is quite nagging and it takes time and difficult to cure. You are doing quite good and keep doing so and find solutions, there are other procedures involved.
