concerned for someone

Am looking for possible answers for a 35yr old female I know who has had a hysterectomy. She has been having numbness in her left arm an leg an has now recently noticed it moving to her right leg. Along with this she stated she has had occasional blurred vision an some nausea. A doctor thought it may be thoracic outlet syndrome, but in looking at the related symptoms I don't believe that really fits. I was wondering if anyone may have any suggestions as to what other possibilities it could be that I may research. She is currently trying to get to another doctor and i was trying to research something for her in the mean time. It would mean a great deal to mean because I AM HIGHLY CONCERNED FOR HER!! Thank you! Anything would be appreciated.

Hello fellow Washingtonian!
I'm suspecting her problem is higher..-Neck or above. Many of her symptoms (don't freak) fit brain tumors or a high spinal cord compression issue. I'd insist on a CAT scan of her head and cervical spine down to c-7 level...(7th neck vertebrae) This sounds nerve related...~MM

Hello,
Wow. That's quite a bit going on...Yes, she does have many of the symptoms of MS, or at least a demyelinating disease...How scary. I have known a few people with it, and each one is different. In some, their symptoms go away for months, and then something fires up their body, and it comes back, and with others, they are very sick people. Some other causes can be from brain origins (I don't want to say the "t" word), abnormal brain pressure, and even heavy metal poisoning. The best thing she may find helpful if it is an autoimmune or demyelinating problem weirdly, is to take vitamin D. It calms a hyper immune system, and many people have had some relief with it.(It also increases calcium absorption which improves nerve impulse flow...) I wish I could offer more information, but the thing that sticks in my mind is my uncle who moved to Arizona and has been in "remission" from his MS for 2 years...Perhaps the sun/natural vitamin D really works...Good luck for figuring this out...~MM
