Hi there. Redness in palms is due to palmar erythema and is found in patients with alcohol induced cirrhosis and primary biliary cirrhosis. It could be due to upset hormone metabolism or microcirculatory changes. Females usually could have this during pregnancy and this would disappear after delivery. You need to consult a physician if this redness of palms has come unexpectedly and is not related to trauma, burns or any infection. Investigation of the hepatobiliary function is necessary. Hope this helps. Take care.

If you have no clue at all why your hands would be red, you didn't get any type of liquid or powder on them, you did not use them aggressively on anything, and you haven't hit them on anything, it could be a reason to be checked out by a doctor. Although red hands by themselves don't give off a serious red flag, other things with red hands can be a serious thing. If you notice red, rashes, bumps, or any other "odd" things happening for no reason, it's time to be checked out. Please keep us posted.
