confused to what my results mean, please help.

Hello, and thank you for reading.

Last week i had my MRI results back and they are as follows - findings: multiple small high signal foci in the deep white matter and also in the corpus callosum bilaterally, these are seen on multiple sequences, also visual on diffusion imaging. The appearances are non-specific, however these could represent demyelination in the appropriate clinical and biochemical setting.
Conclusion: multiple high signal abnormalities in the brain particularly in the white matter this could represent demyelination.

My dr has referred me to see a neurologyst in 29 days. I'm so scared as my dr mentioned M.S!! i'm in such panic, i have cared for my grandmother who has M.S. and the thought of having it myself scares me so much! i have to wait 29 days for my appointment. Please can any one tell me if my results suggest that it is highly likely it is MS? or can it be something else?

about 3 years ago the left side off my face drooped down i was told it was bells poulsey,it has happened again this year but not so bad as the first time. My dr sent me to have a MRi and now with the above results i find myself in this situation. I would be most grateful if somebody could reply.

Kindest of regards
Raffaele
